The Kummer Bridge was built in 1932-33. Bill Kombol will present its history, which should be fun given what is happening with bridges right now! Officially known as the Dan Evans, most locals still call it "The Kummer."
Coal mining started here in Black Diamond in 1882, but Washington coal mining will end in December with the closure of the Centralia plant. Come and learn about and honor this unique history.
